The last few months have been very good for Bollywood. We have seen some huge successful films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ABCD 2, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

But the recent back to back flops Bangistan, Brothers and All Is Well have been a disappointment. Now all eyes are now on today’s release Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty’s Hero.

Hero was released today in around 1800 screens. The early trends show that film has taken a decent opening.

The film has a good start at the box office. The occupancy in the morning shows was around 30-35% The film has opened best in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan but surprisingly it has not opened well in East Punjab and Delhi.

The opening is good considering that film features newcomers. The film has been aided by Salman Khan factor and hit music. But the film should pick up in the North belt too.

Looking at the trend it seems that Hero first day collection should be in the range of 6-6.50 crore. It can go further higher depending on the performance of evening shows.
