Aamir Khan, who is known to do things differently, is currently working for his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’ in Ludhiana. The first look of Aamir Khan from Dangal has been clicked and it is shocking.

After a much deserved break, Aamir Khan is all set to face the camera yet again.

He has been training fervently for the Mahavir Singh biopic- Dangal. He is now all set to kick-start the film shoot. Apparently, Aamir took some time off to work on his look, and prepare for the role.

He had to transform his body completely, in order to resemble the wrestler. The actor even had meetings with Phogat’s daughters, who flew to Mumbai recently.

Today Aamir Khan was clicked when he left for Ludhiana to shoot Dangal. He looked much older and has gained a lot of weight.

The film will be shot in parts of Punjab and Haryana. The first shoot will be at Kila Raipur, where Rural Olympics are held. A source had said, “It is a village in the Ludhiana district in Punjab, and is popular, as it hosts the annual Kila Raipur Sports Festival, which is also known as the Rural Olympics. Aamir KHAN has heard a lot about the place, and is very excited about shooting there. It is going to be a long schedule.”

Aamir Khan was last seen in the Rajkumar Hirani movie PK which was a huge blockbuster at the box office.

Though the film picked up in Delhi/UP but that was only because it was extremely poor on Friday. The single screens were good though multiplexes remained dull. The film is performing best in Maharashtra belt.

Hero box office collection in 2 days will be 13 crore. The opening weekend can be in the range of 20-21 crore. That will be a good result considering that film features newcomers.

The film has performed extremely well in overseas. Hero collection in overseas for Thursday+Friday is 2.32 crore which is excellent.

Hero will show some kind of growth on Sunday too. But the real test will be on Monday. It should sustain well to emerge as a hit. Though the film is very much in the safe zone as the costs are low.

2nd Friday Box Office Collection ‘Welcome Back’: John-Shruti starrer Welcome Back might have received mixed reviews from the critics but the multi starrer continued to draw audiences on its first week. The film clocked 74.02 Cr in its first week. Today the film has been entered on its 8th day. Despite of mixed reviews the film has stunned everyone with its extraordinary performance in its first week. Now sharing screen space with Salman Khan’s production Hero, Anees Bazmee’s comedy packed showed drop in its business where the film raked around 3.16 Cr net on its 2nd Friday. With this the film’s total collection stands with 77.18 Cr net at domestic box office.

The comedy actioner did not just turn out to be the third biggest opener of 2015 so far, but the film has also smashed its sequel lifetime collection. The film clocked 74.02 Cr net in the first week and now expectations are high once again as Salman Khan’s production Hero flying on low buzz. Hero has a decent opening day. According to early estimates Hero first day box office collection will be around 6-6.20 crore.

Sooraj Pancholi starrer was released in around 1800 screens. The film had a decent start in the morning shows. The occupancy was around 30-35%. As the day progressed, the film showed some growth in the noon and evening shows.

Th Salman Khan factor and hit music has helped the film. It fared best in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan but surprisingly it did not open well in East Punjab and Delhi.

Hero first day collection will be 13th highest opening day of 2015. The film has surpassed Piku, Bombay Velvet and Hamari Adhuri Kahani opening day.

Despite the fact that it features newcomers, Hero collection on 1st day is decent. Last year Tiger Shroff’s debut film Heropanti collected around 6.50 crore on its opening day.

The film has received mostly negative reviews while the word of mouth seems to be mixed. It will be interesting to see how it performs on Saturday and Sunday.

The last few months have been very good for Bollywood. We have seen some huge successful films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ABCD 2, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Hero was released today in around 1800 screens. The early trends show that film has taken a decent opening.

The film has a good start at the box office. The occupancy in the morning shows was around 30-35% The film has opened best in Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan but surprisingly it has not opened well in East Punjab and Delhi.

The opening is good considering that film features newcomers. The film has been aided by Salman Khan factor and hit music. But the film should pick up in the North belt too.

Looking at the trend it seems that Hero first day collection should be in the range of 6-6.50 crore. It can go further higher depending on the performance of evening shows.

2015 has been terrible so far when it comes to films starring rank newcomers. While almost all of them have failed to see even a 1 crore opening on Day One, the only film which saw some sort of footfalls was Khamoshiyan, which brought in 1.9 crore on its first Friday. As a matter of fact, even that film had an actor (Ali Fazal) who had been seen in a few films before, though Sapna Pabbi and Gurmeet Choudhary were absolutely fresh. Another newcomer affair wasSecond Hand Husband which was the launchpad of Gippy Grewal and Tina Ahuja. However, the film was a dismal failure with an opening day of 60 lakhs.

Between the two films, Khamoshiyan went on to have the weekend collections of 6.5 crore. Now it is expected that Hero, the newest film with debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, would manage to achieve this total on the opening Friday itself.

The film has benefitted massively from Brand Salman Khan. He has promoted this production of his with complete conviction while still making sure that his presence doesn’t overshadow Sooraj and Athiya. That said, even though there is recall value of Hero, it isn’t like, say, a Don which has remained popular even decades after release. While director Nikhil Advani has given the film a contemporary touch, it has to be seen how much of the remake factor really helpsHero, and whether audience would actually see it as a standalone film.

Good hype has been created for the film by the producers , though one can’t expect audience to go berserk from the very first show itself. The Eros film is expected to rise gradually with every passing show and while the awareness factor would help it gain a decent opening, the true content would eventually do the talking by the time Friday is through. All in all, a healthy first day is expected and the long run would be decided only after the weekend.

Plot

Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi) is a gangster from Mumbai who meets Radha (Athiya Shetty), daughter of the city's Chief of Police. Later Radha finds out she was kidnapped by Sooraj.^{[clarification needed]} After a series of events, Sooraj leaves Radha. But by then, they have fallen in love.
